Un slasher decididament gore i amb un humor molt, molt negre basat en "Thanksgiving", el tràiler fals que el mateix Roth va dirigir el 2007 per a acompanyar les sessions dobles en cinemes de "Planet Terror" (Robert Rodriguez) i "Death Proof" (Quentin Tarantino). La pel·lícula comença un Dia d'Acció de Gràcies a Plymouth, la ciutat on es va celebrar per primera vegada aquesta festivitat. Malgrat la tradició, un empresari ha decidit avançar el Black Friday i centenars de vilatans es dirigeixen a RightMART, un centre comercial que aviat es convertirà en escenari d'una massacre consumista. Un any després, els causants d'aquell sagnant Black Friday comencen a ser assassinats per un misteriós personatge disfressat de John Carver, el pelegrí del Mayflower que es va convertir en primer governador de Plymouth.

There is a void to fill regarding a yearly _Thanksgiving_ franchise. The Carver is outrageous enough to be more enjoyable if Eli Roth allows other directors to play in his grotesque cornbread-stuffing-filled sandbox in future installments. Fun yet formulaic entry into the thanksgiving horror genre.
