It might have been more predictable for there to have been a "Father Time" presiding over this potted history of mankind's obsession with fighting/killing each other, but in this simple but quite effective animation it's more like "Mother Time" who watches as a two-tone, but colourless, flag becomes a symbol of pride, patriotism, violence and destruction.
