*Colony* is so smart and exhilarating, with breathtaking cinematography by Byun Bong-sun. The fact that an outbreak film is doing something different rather than rehashing everything that came before it is enough to warrant a watch. But it’s such a clever spin on the genre, it ends up clawing and biting its way to being one of the best films of the year.

Yeon Sang-ho does it again! After a relatively weak "Peninsula" he is establishing himself as the George Romero of this generation with a zombie movie almost as good as his masterpiece "Train to Busan". Perhaps lacking a bit on the dialogs and missing a superb acting job like Gong Yoo's or Ma Dong-Seok's , Colony still keeps you on the edge of the seat for two hours of FAST zombie chase sequences....
