This is by far the most stylish and good looking movie adaptation of the fairy tale: historical costumes without any kitsch, beautiful bavarian landscapes contrasted by a very clean and minimal fairy tale world up in the clouds. If the script wasn’t so lackluster and the editing so half-assed, this could be a pretty awesome movie version of the classic tale!
