Per això entra en contacte amb Bernard i Vivian Jaffe, un matrimoni de Detectius Existencials o metafísics, que investiguen els misteris més íntims dels seus clients a base de seguir-los de prop, observar les seves activitats diàries i interrogar els seus amics i companys de feina.
