Cat People, but on a budget
This is clearly reminiscent of Cat People (1982), but without the fantastic casting, great directing, and amazing soundtrack. This instead relies on two shaky and one overacted main characters, a more disjointed narrative and no real atmospheric sound or set-design to bring it all together.
It is by no means an incompetent movie, and I get what it is going for, but...
