L'Enitan és un jove nigerià que va ser cedit pels seus pares a una família blanca britànica amb l'esperança de donar-li una vida millor, amb la conseqüència de que l'Enitan pateix unes fortes manques afectives, fent que quedi atrapat entre dos mons. Sofrirà una crisi d'identitat molt important en la qual no se sent part de cap de les dues comunitats. Els adults aprofitaran la seva feblesa i acaben convertint-lo en un rebel adolescent.
