Febrer de 1976, a l'antiga colònia francesa de Djibouti, prop de la frontera amb Somàlia. Un grup de terroristes segresta un autobús escolar amb uns 30 nens. Després de 30 hores de tensió s'organitza una operació de rescat. Per a desbloquejar la situació, França envia una unitat de tiradors de la Gendarmeria.
