Holiday Heart és drag queen i acaba de perdre al seu amant (un oficial de policia), quan troba a Niki, de 12 anys, i a la seva mare drogadicta, Wanda. Heart troba alleujament al seu cor trencat i un nou sentit quan es converteix en figura paterna per Niki i rep a les dos dones a la seva vida.
