Després de la marxa temporal de Connery, l'actor australià George Lazenby pren el relleu en aquesta nova aventura de l'agent britànic 007, que en aquesta ocasió s'associa a un mafiós -amb una filla sensual Tracy Di Vicenzo (Diana Rigg) s'arriba a casar- , per unir les seves forces en la lluita contra la malvada organització Spectra. Ambientada en els alps suïssos, el malvat Stavro Blofeld -Savalas- amenaça el món sencer amb un malvat pla: desenvolupar i llançar un perillós bacteri que podria acabar amb milions de personal a tot el planeta. L'absència de l'actor escocès i el poc carisma de Lazenby van fer d'aquesta entrega un dels seus fracassos comercials més grans, però en anys posteriors no han faltat els defensors que la reivindiquen com una de les més interessants de tota la saga.

Decent enough entry, a little slow at times and while some effects weren't bad for its time, others were a bit iffy (not to mention some shoddy editing a time or two).
