La Lizzy és una escultora amb problemes familiars que lloga una casa amb taller a la Jo, també artista. Entre totes dues existeix una relació de rivalitat i tensió que s’accentua a causa d’una avaria que la Jo no acaba d’arreglar. Un dia, un colom entra a casa de la Lizzy i el seu gat el fereix. La cura de l’animal, sobtadament, passarà a ser un altre conflicte entre les dues artistes, que estan pendents d’imminents exposicions.
